Dear BSU Partners and Friends,
Kellie and I have been traveling extensively across our nation for the past few weeks standing with you for religious freedom and seeing evidence of the power of Jesus in all types of people. We addressed the state Legislature of Hawaii at their request, and met with Gordon Robertson and Jay Sekulow about the importance of Believers Stand United and the American Center for Law and Justice working together. We are thankful to have partnerships across our nation that transcend denominations and ministries. As we work together, God can do great things through us. Thank you for being an important part of all God is doing.
As I travel across America I see church attendance up, state governmental bodies asking for help from the Church and Christians galvanized as never before in modern history to work together. Our friend, the Rev. Jesse Duplantis, often says, “The greatest proof of the resurrection of Jesus is a resurrected Church.” We have much work to do. The best place to start is 1 John 4:11-12, New Living Translation, “…since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.”
People need to see Jesus in you and me...that is the key to communicating faith. Alexis de Tocqueville said, “America is great because America is good…if America ever ceases to be good it will cease to be great.” At the very foundation of our goodness is the truth of the Bible and the example of Jesus Christ. It’s not too late to begin today, even this very moment.
