Celebrating Past and Present Heroes
November 11th, 2008
Dear friend,
Happy Veterans Day! We all need heroes. In society, we are all influenced and shaped by role models. So, naturally we look for those heroes who have courage, faithfulness and a strong will to persevere.
Don’t we all admire those individuals who show extreme self-sacrificing bravery to fulfill a high purpose with honor and noble character? Yes, we all need heroes in life.
Today is the day to say a big “thank you” to those men and women who have given and who continue to contribute so much to our nation, as they serve in the armed forces of the United States of America. Thank you, thank you, thank you to them, and their loved ones who also sacrifice much, as those who serve are away from home.
A Tribute to the Faithful
On this special day, Kellie and I are in Branson, Mo., speaking at the annual Tony Orlando salute to veterans and their families. We expect more than 3,000 veterans and their loved ones to gather for a great time of celebration of faith and family. We will thank them on your behalf as well.
I’ve included three links in my email to you today:
Also, be sure to watch the Believer’s Voice of Victory broadcast where you will be encouraged in your walk of faith and have the opportunity to support those who serve.
Thank a veteran today! And, be sure to say a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus who is our ultimate hero.
Blessings to you and those you love. And remember, JESUS IS LORD!
