President John F. Kennedy once observed that “The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word crisis. One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger, but recognize the opportunity.” Today there is no denying that the world around us is in severe crisis, but praise be to God who has given us the Blessing to use every danger as an opportunity to advance the Name of Jesus Christ!

 

In 2 Chronicles 26, the Bible tells us that during the time King Uzziah set himself to seek and obey God, he and his nation saw an explosion of God’s power amidst crisis that led not only to prosperity but amazing scientific and technological developments far beyond their time. The Amplified translation of 2 Chronicles 26:15 writes of Uzziah, “And his fame spread far, for he was marvelously helped till he was strong.” Imagine if under the Old Covenant Uzziah was marvelously helped, how much more under the New Covenant will the Holy Spirit provide dynamic intervention for every believer to be the wellspring of the Blessing in this time of crisis!

 

Imagine for a moment what would happen if we were to confess and believe that we receive God’s marvelous help in our daily lives. Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 “Nothing will be impossible for you.” With that kind of faith obedience, we could overnight fill the city councils, courts, legislatures and Congress with repentant, Holy Spirit-filled people. We could fix the economy that has so many “experts” frustrated and do it without the compromising solutions customary to politicians. We could make peace with our enemies abroad and reconcile long-standing offenses. We could even unlock scientific and technological discoveries that are so far beyond the realm of natural man’s fleshy understanding that the most calloused unbeliever would have no choice but to say that the Spirit of God dwells within us, just as was said in Daniel 4:8. Now that’s something to be excited about!

 

The people of this world are earnestly racing towards what they call “a New World Order” as the solution to their problems but only Jesus can bring true, permanent order to chaos. It’s time that we believers stand united in the marvelous help of God and His Blessing.

 

Pray this over your spouse, your children and all your fellow believers: “Heavenly Father, we agree with your Word that the work of God is not done in a corner. We believe that we receive your Blessing to overwhelmingly meet the needs of those you have called us to minister to, to do your will without fear and to bring Jesus to every corner of this world. We activate our faith with love and confess that from this day forward, we will be marvelously helped!”

 

We're believing in faith that marvelous help is loosed from Heaven upon you to do great exploits in this time of crisis and that your best and most blessed is on its way as the Word works within you. May the Holy Spirit fill you with great joy and peace as you continue to be God’s witness that JESUS IS LORD!
