Dear Partners and Friends,
Kenneth Copeland Ministries is blessed to have supportive,
generous Partners and Friends like you. Because of this,
I'm writing to make you aware of accusations that have
been made against my parents and the ministry.
Earlier this week, WFAA, the Dallas ABC television affiliate,
ran a story that can only be characterized as misleading.
Normally we do not respond to these kinds of allegations.
However, there are times when one must take a stand.
This is one of those times.
Kenneth Copeland Ministries has been, and always will
be, a ministry of integrity. Our ministry's goal remains
clear: to bring people around the world from the milk
to the meat of the Word of God. We are committed to meeting
this goal with the highest ethical standards.
In response to the allegations:
• Every
prayer request is answered promptly. We receive
6,000-7,000 letters per day, many of which have multiple
prayer requests. Each request is individually read
and prayed for several times. Here's how it works:
The mail is prayed over as it arrives every day. The
requests then move through the ministry data center where
each letter is read and receives a response specific
to the need. Each request is then viewed by three full-time
intercessors. These intercessors pray every day over
these requests.
In addition, Mom and Dad, and a group of ministers,
pray every day for Partners, Friends and staff of KCM.
•
Our reach is global. Our Prayer Department and Customer
Service Department receive 1.1 million pieces of incoming
mail and send 6.4 million pieces of mail every year.
They answer 500,000 calls annually, and make 450,000
calls to Partners and Friends.
Contributions from our Partners and Friends are used
to help more than 100 ministries, as well as churches,
orphanages, youth programs, inmates and rehabilitation
centers in over 120 countries. KCM ministers to more
than 5,000 pastors annually through teaching materials,
personal outreach meetings and personal ministry phone
calls. The Believer's Voice of Victory (BVOV) magazine
is sent to more than 135 countries, and the Believer's
Voice of Victory broadcast is viewed daily on 615 stations
around the world.
The accomplishment of this enormous vision is only possible
through the collective effort of the hundreds of staff
members within our ministry.
•
We practice fiscal responsibility. As good stewards
of what God places in our hands, we are accountable
to God and our Partners and Friends.
We have an outside board of directors that provides
governance and oversight to our ministry, and we undergo
an annual, independent audit.
We invite you to visit our Web
site to view our financial
accountability statement and examine how your money is
distributed.
•
We operate openly and legally. We have received a request
for information from the United States Senate Committee
on Finance. We respect the Committee's right to raise
issues that could impact the public. We have no quarrel
with that right. However, as a church organization,
we are required only to share our information with
the Internal Revenue Service. We operate our church
in full compliance with IRS guidelines.
We are very diligent in protecting the privacy of our
Partners and Friends. We will not participate in a public
spectacle. We operate our ministry with privacy - not
secrecy.
As we continue to do what the Lord has called us to
do, we want you to know how much we love and appreciate
you. Without the love and support of our Partners and
Friends, our accomplishments would be small. But when
we are united in our efforts, we can change the world.
We care about you, and we're here for you.
JESUS IS LORD!
Sincerely,

John Copeland
