As a partner with Believers
Stand United and a prayerful citizen, you’ve probably
become aware of the controversial $100 million, 15-story
Islamic center and mosque scheduled to be built just
a couple blocks from Ground Zero…where nearly
3,000 people died during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist
attacks. We continue to stand in prayer and realize
that the mosque, being this close in proximity to Ground
Zero, is offensive to the survivors of September 11
as well as over 75% of Americans.
What you may not have heard
about is the new initiative by the U.S. Government to
send Imam Rauf on a “Global Good Will Journey”
to the Middle East as an official U.S.-sponsored representative,
educating others about the role of religion in the U.S.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is the
Cordoba Initiative’s executive director who is
preparing to build the Cordoba House (aka “Ground
Zero mosque”) with his partners. He refuses to
declare Hamas as a terrorist organization—and
has even declared on 60 Minutes that the U.S. is “an
accessory”...
